Free Your Mind Organization came into existence in April 2021 as a non-profit making organization, with Mental Health the main area of focus. The organization was incorporated under the non-governmental organization Act 11/2002, as a local NGO with registration number 00NGO/R/1814.

Mission

To provide awareness, tools, support and arena to help people rebuild their sense of self, and to empower them by teaching and advocating self-care and helping them to share their experience.

Free Your Mind envisions a community without barriers to achieving mental health where no one feels alone on their road to recovery.

Commitment
to Privacy

FYM has the obligation to safeguard the individual rights and privacy of their clients. Trust is the cornerstone of the counselling relationship, and FYM is responsible for maintaining a trustworthy partnership. Clients should be made aware if information about them has to be shared with others outside the counselling relationship, and only essential information should ever be revealed to outside parties. FYM is required to disclose client behaviours that indicate the potential for self-harm or harm to others. Lastly, if sessions are to be recorded or observed, counsellors must first get the permission of their client.

Not everyone has the access to mental health support and services that's right for them. We are working hard to make sure this is not the case. Throughout our history, we have supported people facing multiple forms of discrimination, such as discrimination because of their mental health problems as well as their ethnicity, race, religion, sexuality or disability.
